Since I was down under the weather, I still am, I had a chance to reflect on my life in DC and pre-DC. I was well rounded then – I wrote about American issues, and reflected on different issues of the world- Israel Palestine, Iran, India, Pakistan, Russia, Korea, Malaysia, Europe, Africa, South America, Sports, films, food etc
Now in the last six months it is nothing but American Politics, American Religious landscape, American Pluralism, and American issues. This morning I woke up to news about the skirmishes between India and Pakistan, US aid to Israel, Shimon Peres’ (there goes another peace maker – RIP). I realize I have not paid any attention to the issues of the world.
I have been writing about Festivals of the world for the last 20 years, I have skipped many. I need to get back to be who I am – conscious of all that is going on in the world and connect with my surroundings.
